Liu Jianguo, a candidate for Yunlin County Mayor of the Democratic Progressive Party and a legislator, pointed out in an interview that Yunlin has not been prepared to welcome the technology industry in the past seven years, which is why Yunlin has been missing opportunities.

The Yunlin Huwei Industrial Park has been the most popular for Nanya Technology to set up a factory. The National Science Council held a science park review meeting today and approved the establishment of Nanya Technology in Nanke Pingtung Park.

Liu Jianguo said that compared with the completion of Chiayi Industrial Park one by one, the groundbreaking of Jiake Phase II, and the groundbreaking of Minxiong Aerospace and UAV Industrial Park, all of which happened within the past two or three months, which industrial park in Yunlin is really ready? It was just that he was not prepared that Yunlin kept missing opportunities.

Liu Jianguo pointed out that he repeatedly suggested to the Executive Yuan to include Yunlin in the "Greater Southern New Silicon Valley" plan proposed by the Executive Yuan, and finally got approval. At the same time, President Lai Ching-te recently visited Yunlin and expressed his clear support for Yunlin to establish a science park and introduce AI technology industries.

Liu Jianguo said that the central government is willing to support, and local governments must actively prepare to turn support into concrete construction and investment opportunities. If he takes office in the county government in the future, he will establish a single window for investment promotion, proactively coordinate central resources, assist companies in solving land use, factory setting, and administrative procedures, and disclose investment and construction progress so that each project has a clear schedule and someone is responsible.
