Wang Weiming, chief engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, revealed at the meeting that in the first three quarters, my country's equipment industry has maintained a positive development trend and continued to improve quality and efficiency. The overall operation can be summarized in three words: "stable, new and smart".
First, the scale is "stable" and the equipment industry's "ballast stone" role continues to be consolidated. In the first three quarters, the added value of the equipment industry increased by 7.1% year-on-year, and its contribution to industrial growth reached 26.6%. The supply capacity of high-end equipment has been enhanced, and the output of industrial robots, CNC machine tools, and new energy vehicles increased by 29.1%, 13.5%, and 11% respectively year-on-year. The national shipbuilding completion volume increased by 50.7% year-on-year.
Second, the products are “new” and innovative products have many highlights. The first embodied intelligent digital subway train was unveiled at the Berlin International Rail Transport Exhibition in September, and urban rail transit equipment has made new progress; intelligent robots have transformed into shop assistants to make coffee and sell goods, and artificial intelligence has accelerated its implementation in people's livelihood scenarios; the second domestically produced large-scale cruise ship "Aida Huacheng" is about to be completed and delivered; the world's largest 271,000 cubic meter LNG ship has started construction in my country; 25 new car products of 16 Chinese car companies' brands were unveiled at the just-concluded Paris Auto Show.
The third is to create "intelligence" and accelerate the reconstruction of production models. The "artificial intelligence + manufacturing" special action has been implemented in depth, and my country's self-developed AI full direct-drive CNC machine tools have achieved breakthroughs. The overall performance of the entire machine has improved by 30%-60% compared with the national standard. A total of more than 13,000 advanced and more than 500 excellence-level smart factories have been built, and 15 pilot-level smart factories have been cultivated. Enterprises are accelerating the exploration of future manufacturing models such as shared manufacturing of construction machinery, automobile island manufacturing, and agile customization of home appliances.
Wang Weiming said that in the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will continue to coordinate the promotion of expanding demand, optimizing supply, and strengthening the ecology to further consolidate and enhance the competitive advantages of the equipment industry.
Focus on expanding effective demand, promote technological transformation and equipment updating in key industries, release existing market potential, expand services and applications of special robots, elderly care and rehabilitation equipment, ice and snow equipment, new energy ships on inland rivers, etc., and actively cultivate new demands.
Efforts should be made to optimize the supply of high-quality equipment, accelerate the in-depth integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, intensify the implementation of major technical and equipment research projects, improve the resilience and safety level of key industrial chains and supply chains, promote the in-depth integration and application of new technologies such as artificial intelligence and equipment products, and enhance the supply and support capabilities of high-quality equipment.
Efforts should be made to stimulate the growth vitality of the industry, strengthen the comprehensive management of irrational competition, implement the first (set) application policy, and continue to improve the industrial ecology.
