Panama is healing its wounds after the 7.7 magnitude earthquake. People are still afraid

While there was no loss of life in the earthquake, which caused a great shock even in the capital Panama City, which is 200 kilometers away from the epicenter, and caused people to throw themselves into the streets in panic, according to the latest figures, 30 people with minor injuries were treated in hospitals.

Those living in areas close to the epicenter of the earthquake are still trying to shake off the fear and heal their wounds.

Aldulfo Quintero, who lives in Chitre, southwest of the capital Panama City, told AFP, "We have never seen anything like this before. We were not prepared for such an event. I am in great fear that a new earthquake could occur at any moment." he said.

28-year-old Yakshuri Castillo, one of those living in Chitre, the capital of Herrera state, which was most affected by the earthquake, says that they were in shock after the first earthquake, while they were lying outside for fear of a new earthquake.
