In the first seven months of this year, the amount of overseas investment approved was US$13.91669 billion, an increase of 78.13% over the same period last year. Major large-scale investment cases include Micron's capital increase of approximately US$7.45 billion in currency debt.

Regarding overseas investment, the Investment Review Department pointed out that in July this year, 226 overseas investments were approved, with an investment amount of US$5,016.043 million. In the first July of this year, 1,389 overseas investments were approved, with an investment amount of US$13.91669 million, an increase of 78.13% over the same period last year. Large-scale cases include Singaporean Micron Semiconductor Asia Pte. Ltd. The total amount of monetary claims is approximately US$7.44996 billion, and the Dutch company MIT HAI LONG WIND POWER B.V. has increased its capital in Yushan Energy Co., Ltd. by approximately US$1.05411 billion.

In July this year, 144 new companies were approved for investment by overseas Chinese, with an investment amount of approximately US$6.1 million.

As for Chinese investment, the Investment Review Department pointed out that in July alone, 3 Chinese investments were approved, with an investment amount of US$2.612 million; in the first seven months of this year, 12 Chinese investments in Taiwan were approved, with an investment amount of US$4.067 million, a 95.97% decrease from the previous year.
