During the Chuseok holiday, an elderly mother in her 70s was stabbed to death and her Chinese daughter in her 50s was arrested.

(Ansan = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Ji-won = A Chinese woman in her 50s was arrested on suspicion of murdering her 70-year-old mother with a weapon during the Chuseok holiday.

According to the Ansan Sangnok Police Station on the 27th, the Ansan Branch of the Suwon District Court issued an arrest warrant for Ms. A, a woman in her 50s who was suspected of murdering an ascendant, after conducting a pre-arrest interrogation (substantial examination of the warrant).

The court stated that the reason for issuing the warrant was that Mr. A was at risk of running away.

Previously, Mr. A is accused of swinging a weapon and killing his mother in her 70s, who lived with him in a multi-family house in Sangnok-gu, Ansan-si, at around 1 a.m. the previous day.

Mr. A reported this to an acquaintance immediately after committing the crime, and was arrested as a criminal by the police who arrived after receiving a report from the acquaintance.

It was found that Mr. A and his mother were both Chinese nationals (Korean-Chinese) and lived alone in the house.

The two people often argued about their lifestyle, and on the day of the incident, Mr. A reportedly stated that he committed the crime accidentally while arguing with his mother.

The police plan to conduct a further investigation into the details of the crime against Mr. A, who was arrested, and then forward the case to the prosecution.
