The 13th China-Russia Engineering Technology Forum opens in Harbin

China News Service, Harbin, September 22 (Reporter Zhao Yuhang) On the 21st, the 13th China-Russia Engineering Technology Forum with the theme of "Intelligent Engineering·Technology Connected World" opened in Harbin. This event will last until the 23rd, with 1 main forum, 6 sub-forums and 5 exchange activities. More than 300 Chinese and Russian academicians and experts and representatives of relevant institutions and enterprises will participate.

Heilongjiang Province is rich in scientific and educational resources, has a profound innovation heritage, and has a solid industrial foundation. It has broad prospects for cooperation with Russia.

Drukalenko, Vice Chairman and First Secretary of the Federation of Russian Scientific and Engineering Societies, said that this forum is an important platform for the exchange of advanced experience, scientific concepts and innovative solutions in the engineering fields of the two countries. He is willing to join hands with the China Association for Science and Technology and the Heilongjiang Association for Science and Technology to expand the boundaries of scientific research and produce more scientific and technological innovation achievements that benefit the people of the two countries.

As an important carrier of cooperation between the two parties, the Chinese-Russian Science and Technology Translation Competition has been successfully held for three times. Drukalenko said that the competition has received an enthusiastic response among Russian Chinese learners, and Russia will continue to promote this event to further enhance understanding and deepen friendship.

Ni Zhiyu, member of the Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Association for Science and Technology, expressed the hope that the scientific and technological circles of the two countries will continue to carry out rich and diverse scientific and cultural exchange activities, vigorously promote mutual visits, mutual learning, and joint training between scientists, engineers, and young scientific and technological talents, so as to lay a more solid foundation for the people of the two countries to know each other and for the China-Russia friendship to be passed on.

During the forum, a cooperation initiative for young scientific and technological talents between China and Russia was released, and cooperation intentions were reached on advanced manufacturing, polar marine equipment, medical-industrial integration technology, etc. Six Chinese and Russian academicians and experts gave keynote reports focusing on the field of engineering technology.
