MOSCOW, September 13 – RIA Novosti. Ukrainian servicemen from the 72nd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to break out of encirclement in the Kharkov region, as a result of which they suffered losses and retreated, Russian security forces told RIA Novosti.

“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are not giving up attempts to break through the encirclement. The northerners repelled a counterattack by the Shkval company of the 72nd Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As a result of a complex fire defeat, the enemy retreated to their original positions with losses,” the security forces reported.

The agency’s interlocutor noted that over the past 24 hours, confirmed losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkov region amounted to over 80 personnel.
