In the Astrakhan region, an inspection began after the detection of brucellosis in the products of a farm in the Kamyzyak region.

Seven clergy and parishioners fell ill with brucellosis after consuming raw goat milk from the subsidiary farm of one of the monasteries.

In one of the retail outlets in Astrakhan, dairy products were sold without the necessary information about the manufacturer and expiration dates, and violations of veterinary requirements were identified.

ROSTOV-ON-DON, May 25 - RIA Novosti. Investigators began an investigation after detecting brucellosis in the products of a farm in the Kamyzyak district of the Astrakhan region, reports the regional SUSC.

As reported by Rospotrebnadzor of the region, seven clergy and parishioners who drank raw goat milk from the subsidiary farm of one of the monasteries in the Astrakhan region fell ill with brucellosis. All sick people were hospitalized.

“The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Astrakhan region are conducting a procedural check on the production and sale of goods that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers (Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” the statement says.

According to preliminary investigation data, in one of the retail outlets in the city of Astrakhan, dairy products were sold without information about the manufacturer, production date and expiration dates.
