Triggers found near power lines in North Rhine-Westphalia

In North Rhine-Westphalia, starting devices were discovered near high-voltage lines. As noted, law enforcement agencies also received information about a suspicious person near the Weisweiler power plant near the city of Aachen. Last week, attacks on energy facilities were already reported in this federal state, as well as in Brandenburg and Saxony. As a result of the attacks, short circuits occurred, which led to an emergency shutdown of power units. Later, near the city of Dormagen, rocket launchers with wires and timers were discovered ready to launch. According to the Deutschlandfunk radio station, a 49-year-old German with eco-radical views claimed responsibility for the attacks and is wanted.
