MOSCOW, September 7 - RIA Novosti. The farewell ceremony for music critic Sergei Sosedov and his funeral service ended in the Great Hall of the Troekurovsky Cemetery, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.

Earlier, those around Sosedov told RIA Novosti that the music critic died on September 23 at the age of 58. The cause of death was an accident - he fell down the stairs and died. Sosedov came to Neryungri in Yakutia to head the jury of the “Pearl of the Far East” fashion and beauty competition.

The farewell ceremony began on Wednesday at 11.00 Moscow time in the Great Hall of the Troekurovsky cemetery. In the morning, hundreds of people gathered outside the hall to see off the journalist on his final journey. His 90-year-old mother Antonina came to say goodbye to Sosedov, as well as his colleagues: People's Artist of the Russian Federation Edgard Zapashny, singers Natasha Koroleva, Natalya Gulkina and Ksenia Georgiadi, singers Alexey Glyzin, Igor Nadzhiev and Alexander Peskov, actor Alexey Elistratov, producers Sergei Dvortsov and Leonid Dzyunik, TV presenter Lera Kudryavtseva. A coffin strewn with red roses was placed in the center of the stage, and a portrait of the critic was placed nearby. Wreaths were sent to the ceremony by the Igor Sandler Foundation and the NTV television company. Relatives and friends remembered Sosedov, shared stories and talked about the warmest moments associated with him.

After the farewell ceremony and funeral service, the critic will be buried at the Perepechinskoye cemetery.
