Zamalek Treasurer: Bezerra will return within days and legal procedures will be taken if he does not return

Hossam El-Mandouh, treasurer of the Egyptian Zamalek Club, confirmed that the team's Brazilian player, Juan Bezerra, will return to the club within days, stressing that the administration will take severe legal measures if he does not return.

Al-Mandouh said, in television statements, on Sunday evening, that talk about selling Bezerra will not take place before he returns to Zamalek and speaks with him, explaining that the club informed the player about this.

He added that Zamalek's legal position is disciplined, and that the administration is communicating officially and legally in order to get the best possible benefit from the file.

Al-Mandouh explained that Zamalek had previously set $6 million to approve Bezerra’s departure, stressing at the same time that the team imposes a state of discipline, and there are no problems inside the locker room.

The Treasurer of Zamalek touched on the club’s financial situation, stressing that the current council has assumed responsibility in light of the presence of late dues to football players and sports sectors, which amounted to about one billion pounds.

He said that the first team players have currently received between 75 and 80 percent of their dues for last season, noting that a meeting was held with them in the presence of Hussein Labib, club president.

Al-Mandouh denied that there was a crisis with Ahmed Fattouh, the team’s player, stressing that what was said about the player feeling unappreciated is not true. He also denied Fattouh’s demand to receive 50 million Egyptian pounds per season.

Al-Mandouh called for the players’ contracts file to be studied and reviewed by the competent authorities, indicating the possibility of putting the matter up for discussion in Parliament.

Al-Mandouh cited the contract of Ahmed Sayed (Zizou), the former Zamalek player, saying that it raises question marks for him, in light of what he mentioned about the player’s demand for 80 million pounds or more to renew his contract, while he said that his previous contract was registered at a value of 5 million pounds.

Al-Mandouh stressed that he is not accusing anyone, but he sees the need to study and discuss the file of players’ contracts, in light of what he described as the question marks surrounding it.
