In the Sobolevsky district in Kamchatka, a road and a bridge crossing were washed out due to rising water levels in the Bolshaya Vorovskaya River. A high alert regime has been introduced in the region, the Center for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Fire Safety said, TASS reports.

On the morning of Monday, September 14, the reservoir level reached 326 centimeters, the department said. “This led to the erosion of the road surface and the bridge crossing of the road section from the village of Sobolevo to 52 kilometers of the technical passage,” experts explained.

Earlier, a road bridge collapsed in the Primorsky Territory. The incident occurred on the road from the village of Soboliny in the Pozharsky district. The footage taken by eyewitnesses showed that the structure had collapsed and it was impossible to pass through it. According to preliminary data, the bridge could not withstand a timber truck that drove onto it.
