Two new cases were opened against the former deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region, Sergei Malkov.

Two new criminal cases were opened against the former deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region, Major General of the Internal Service Sergei Malkov, accused of fuel theft. TASS reports this.

At the meeting of the Moscow City Court, where the complaint against the arrest of the policeman was being heard, the investigator asked to include the reports of the operational officers on checking Malkov for involvement in other crimes, as well as the decision to initiate two more new criminal cases against him.

The materials of Malkov’s case contain information about the state defense order; on this basis, the investigator insisted on hearings behind closed doors, but was refused. The judge indicated that information that could be disclosed during the consideration of the issue of the arrest of the General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs would not harm secrets protected by law.

The Moscow City Court softened Malkov's preventive measure by releasing him from pre-trial detention center under house arrest.

On September 7, the Moscow Meshchansky Court arrested him in the case of theft of official motor fuel. Together with him, the former head of the economic and service support center (TsKhiSO) of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region, Colonel of the Internal Service Alexei Suyarov, his successor Gennady Peshkov, and the ex-head of the department of this unit, Lieutenant Colonel of the Internal Service Anna Levina, were taken into custody.

The chairman of the board of directors of the Eurotrans company, which manages the Trassa gas station network, Igor Martyshov and three top managers of the company were also taken into custody. Nobody admits their guilt.
