It is understood that the Chinese Communist Party officially holds the "Public Memorial Ceremony to Xuanyuan Huangdi" and the "Public Memorial Ceremony to Fuxi, the Forefather of Chinese Humanities" every year. In this regard, interviews with people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait who have visited China's Gansu Province criticized Fuxi as a mythological figure originating from the Yellow River Basin. The totem image is a "snake body and a human head." The archaeological pottery unearthed in the Gansu Provincial Museum in Lanzhou has Fuxi's "snake body and a human head" pattern on it. A "Fuxi and Nuwa mating diagram" was also unearthed in Xinjiang. How could such a mythical figure from the frontier beyond the Great Wall be the ancestor of the Taiwanese people? The Kuomintang members traveled thousands of miles to Gansu to pay homage to Fuxi, and then the CCP declared that it would "oppose independence and promote reunification." It was a complete united front drama.
