Zhang Jiajun, the Kuomintang candidate for Yunlin County Magistrate, established the Evergreen Support Association today (7th) and introduced two welfare policies for the elderly: "health, equality, and a sense of life." She said that in addition to successfully promoting the implementation of health insurance subsidies for the elderly over 65 years old next year, she will also comprehensively expand the scope of use of elderly card points and cooperate with local channels such as community pharmacies, farmers' association supermarkets and sales departments to create a happy home for the elderly.

The founding meeting of the Changqing Support Association brought together representatives of senior citizens' associations from various towns and villages. Zhang Qiulu, the general convenor of Shanxian and the chairman of the Douliu Senior Citizens Association of Douliu City, presented "frozen garlic", and Wang Zanse, chairman of the Huwei Town Senior Citizens Association, presented "frozen garlic". "Bao Zong", Lin Jinzhong, general convenor of the Evergreen Support Association and chairman of the Kouhu Township Elderly Association, presented the "Good Luck" mascot. Zhang Jiajun said that after local efforts and communication, government subsidies for health insurance premiums for seniors over 65 years old will be implemented next year. The county government will bear the self-pay premiums for health insurance. On average, each elder can save nearly 10,000 yuan a year. This not only allows the elderly to have fair health protection, but also substantially reduces the financial pressure of the younger generation to support their parents.

Zhang Jiajun pointed out that the policy of "Activation and Upgrading of Elderly Card Points" has been promoted, and cooperation with local channels such as community pharmacies, farmers' association supermarkets and sales departments has allowed the elderly to directly use Elderly Card points to purchase daily life and health care products, greatly improving the convenience of use for the elderly.

Zhang Lishan said that there should be no distinction between urban and rural areas in caring for the elders. After Zhangjia County proposed that the county government subsidize and exempt health insurance premiums, it quickly won the support of broad public opinion and cross-party parliamentarians. The county government also complied with local expectations and officially included the subsidy in next year's general budget.
