NEWS CENTER - The fight that started in Afyonkarahisar due to the purchase of a combine harvester turned into a chain of bloody attacks in which 8 people lost their lives. Arif Sefa Özdemir, the raving killer, 8 people were murdered on the 74-kilometer route from Afyonkarahisar to Eskişehir.
BEFORE 3 MURDERS
28-year-old Arif Sefa Özdemir, who lives in Bozhüyük village of İhsaniye district, met with people with whom he had a dispute arising from harvester shopping in Gazlıgöl, around 12:00 on November 5. The suspect then moved to the rural area of Ayazini village, and at around 15.10, shot and killed Ahmet Uzel (57), Bekir Toprak (50) and Numan Toprak (56), who came with a car with plate number 40 ND 574 and did not receive the money for the combine harvester, with a shotgun.
ESCAPE STARTED AFTER THE FIRST ATTACK
The suspect, who moved away from the area after the first attack, blocked the Fiat Doblo brand vehicle in which Seydi Ahmet Aydoğmuş (73) and his wife Satı Aydoğmuş (68) were on the route of Kıyır village. The suspect, who wanted to hijack the vehicle, shot and killed the elderly couple and continued his escape by taking their car. The suspect, who proceeded approximately 1 kilometer, encountered the car driven by İsmail Şen, coming from the opposite direction. When Şen said he would call the police, the suspect opened fire and killed him. Thus, the chain of murders that started in Ayazini continued around Kıyır village, a distance of only about 15 kilometers.
Later, the suspect reached Afyonkarahisar city center and wanted to hijack the car of a woman named S.P., who got into her car to pick up her child from school in Osman Gazi District. The suspect opened fire on the woman, seriously wounding her.
HE KILLED 2 TEACHERS IN THE VEHICLE, ONE WAS SAVED
The suspect shot and killed teachers Hilal Mete (31) and Ayşe Sena Demir (46), who were in a car with plate number 07 BZB 11, near Yukarıtandır village in İhsaniye district, with a shotgun. S.S.G., who was in the vehicle, survived the attack without injury.
"I STARTED COUNTING BACKWARDS FROM 10 AND 5 TO SCARE"
Arif Sefa Özdemir, who calmly described the moment when he attacked female teachers in his statement, said: "I blocked the oncoming vehicle. I told him that my vehicle was broken down and asked for help. The woman sitting in the passenger seat got out of the vehicle and came to me. I told her that I had committed a crime and that they should hand over their vehicle to me. Then I headed to the driver's seat. At this time, I did not have a gun in my hand. I spoke for 2-3 minutes and said that I would just take the car. I told the driver that I had killed someone. They should open the door or shoot." "I said I would. They were calling the police on the phone. I started counting from 10 to 5 to scare them. When I saw that he didn't leave the phone, I shot him with one hand at the person in front and the other at the back. I didn't take this vehicle because there was a dead man inside."

THE TEACHER WHO SURVIVED THE ATTACK SPOKE
The statement of teacher Sultan Sema Gökçe, who survived the attack, was reached. According to the information in Sabah; Gökçe said, "I was sitting in the front seat. First he said 'my car broke down' and asked for help. Then he pointed his gun and said 'I won't hurt you. Just give me the car and go.'
"HE STARTED SHOOTING WHEN THE TIME ENDED"
Gökçe continued his words as follows: "Thereupon, I immediately got out of the vehicle, went down to the bottom of the roadside and shouted 'don't do it'. However, my two friends in the vehicle could not get out due to the great fear and panic they experienced. He said, 'I am counting down from three. If you do not get out, I will shoot you.' Then he started counting down and when the time was up, he started shooting. I thought he was going to kill me too. But he left without shooting at me," he said.
