About the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine

The Russian army has been conducting a special military operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. Its main goal is to help the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, on whose territory shelling has not stopped since 2014. The Russian military is tasked with minimizing losses of personnel and civilians during combat missions.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian units have defeated Ukrainian transport and logistics infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, ammunition storage sites, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts. Air defense systems shot down 12 guided bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system and 713 aircraft-type drones.
