The foreign trade of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone has grown significantly, with import and export value reaching 48.5 billion yuan in the first eight months.

China News Service, Zhuhai, September 29 (Reporter Deng Yuanwen) In the five years since its establishment, the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Cooperation Zone) has achieved outstanding foreign trade growth by relying on institutional innovation and the advantages of Qin-Macao’s collaborative opening up. On the 29th, Gongbei Customs announced that according to statistics, in the first eight months of this year, the import and export value of the cooperation zone was 48.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 57.8%. The scale hit a record high for the same period in history, exceeding the total import and export value for the whole year of 2025. Among them, the import value reached 13.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of more than 22%; the export value reached 35 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of more than 77%.

As the National Day approaches, the Hengqin Cross-border E-commerce Supervision Center is busy with operations. The customs conducts regular on-site supervision of cross-border e-commerce "9610" export commodities. Scanning code verification, goods sorting, loading and transshipment are in an orderly manner. Daily accessories, children's toys, clothing and other people's livelihood commodities are shipped to Hengqin Port for customs clearance, demonstrating the vitality of new foreign trade formats.

Nearly a month ago, Macau International Airport’s Hengqin pre-cargo station’s aviation palletization pilot business was launched. More than 30 tons of aviation palletization cargo has been directly connected to Macau International Airport for boarding through Hengqin Port, building a trade bridge between Macau and Macau to link up and connect the world.

Nowadays, more and more companies are deploying R&D and production in cooperation zones, expanding their development space through the linkage between Qin and Macao.

Xi Xin, deputy director of Hengqin Customs, a subsidiary of Gongbei Customs, said that since the line management policy of the cooperation zone was implemented for more than two years, projects such as simplified declaration of bonded-free goods, bonded leasing of aircraft engines, bonded circuit research and development, and cooperation in inspection and quarantine supervision of food and ingredients exported from Macao to Hengqin have been implemented one after another, and the formation of a diversified industrial ecology is accelerating. At present, there are more than 2,500 enterprises registered with the customs in the cooperation zone.
