China News Service, Nanning, September 17 (Reporter Yang Chen) The 8th ASEAN and China, Japan and South Korea Young Scientists Forum was held in Nanning, Guangxi on the 16th.

As one of the important series of activities of the 2026 ASEAN International Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation Conference, this forum focuses on the three core areas of cutting-edge technological evolution, youth innovation ecology, and cross-dimensional human-computer interaction. It attracted more than 200 representatives of science and technology authorities and young scientists from China, ASEAN countries, Japan and South Korea to participate in the forum to jointly explore new paths for the collaborative development of science and technology innovation in East Asia.

During the speech session of young scientist representatives, a number of transnational scholars conducted in-depth exchanges on cutting-edge technologies and industrial applications. Zhang Shengnan, Vice President of Qiannao Technology Group, shared the exploration and application of brain-computer interface technology with the theme of "Brain-Computer Interface: Unleashing Infinite Possibilities for Humans"; Oladi Khamanifong, Deputy Director of the Department of Computer Science, College of Natural Sciences, National University of Laos, and Jiracharya Domblon, Senior Advisor of Thailand's National Science and Technology Development Agency, respectively discussed international cooperation in innovative applications of artificial intelligence, sovereign AI, etc. Experts such as Song Enying, head of the precision medicine department of Dow Pharmaceuticals in South Korea, Guo Qianqian, chief technology officer of Zhongke Yihe, Li Guangming, deputy director of the Information Technology Research Institute of Hanoi National University in Vietnam, and Jiang Ming, president of the Guangxi Artificial Intelligence Education Society, shared research and practice from different fields such as precision medicine, genetic disease prevention and control, digital technology cooperation and artificial intelligence applications.

In order to enrich the academic discussion format, this forum made an innovative attempt in the round-table communication session, introducing embodied intelligent robots as interactive carriers for the first time, and launching a special dialogue "Crossing Dimensions: Carbon-based Youth Representatives VS Silicon-based Robots". Young scientists and intelligent robots communicated on the same stage, discussing the evolution of cutting-edge technology and future human-machine collaboration. This innovative form expands the dimensions of traditional academic exchanges and intuitively presents new forms brought about by the development of artificial intelligence, bringing new thinking to future human-machine collaboration and technology applications.

It is reported that the ASEAN and China, Japan and South Korea Young Scientists Forum (10+3 Young Scientists Forum) has been held for eight consecutive sessions since it was held in 2019, and has gradually become an important exchange platform for gathering the innovative wisdom of transnational youth and promoting regional scientific and technological innovation collaboration.
