Taichung mayoral candidate He Xinchun of the Democratic Progressive Party held a press conference on the "4321 Sea Line Attack" policy today, announcing that after being elected as mayor, he will promote "the acceleration of the construction of 4 rail lines, the opening of 3 sea line traffic lifeline roads, the further evolution of 2 sea and airports, and the creation of the No. 1 sea line." It promises to complete the elevated double-track of the Sealine Railway within 8 years, promote the revitalization of the old freight railway in Taichung Port Area, and build a sightseeing railway. Similar to Taipei Port, Taichung Port will allocate a certain proportion of the surplus to the construction of Sealine 8 District, so that the residents of Sealine can share the fruits of urban development and achieve balanced prosperity in Greater Taichung.

He Xinchun held a press conference today, accompanied by sealine councilors Yang Dianzhong, Wang Liren, Shi Zhichang, Zhang Jiaun and city council candidates Chen Yijie and Wu Zhongyuan. Members attending the meeting criticized the Lu city government for long-term neglect of the sea line. Many local construction projects were unwilling to cooperate with the central government's implementation, allowing the sea line to continue to be marginalized.

If she has the opportunity to serve Greater Taichung in the future, she will put the demand for sea lines into municipal priorities and promote the "acceleration of the construction of four tracks", including accelerating the construction of the MRT Blue Line and striving for its completion and opening; striving to start the construction of the Orange Line of the Airport MRT and extending it to the clear water; accelerating the double-track elevation of the sea line railway; promoting the revitalization of the old freight railway in Taichung Port Area and transforming it into a sightseeing railway.

"The opening of three sea-line traffic lifeline roads" is to accelerate the extension of Jiapu Avenue to Da'an and connect National Highway 3 with the Provincial Highway 61 West Coast Expressway; to promote the extension of National Highway 4 to Taichung Port to improve the efficiency of logistics and sightseeing transportation; to accelerate the construction of Road 4 in the living area and improve the Dadu, Longjing and Uri-Japan external road networks.

"Re-evolution of the two sea and airports" will accelerate the construction of the third terminal of Taichung Airport, add taxiways, passenger aircraft parking aprons, and external transportation, with the goal of doubling international flights and exceeding 5 million annual passengers in the next four years, creating an international aviation hub airport in Central China, and launching the overall development of the Taichung International Airport gateway and surrounding areas. The case was launched; Taichung Port cooperates with the transformation of the tourist railway, connects sealine attractions, creates a "marine sightseeing blue belt", promotes the reconstruction of the old port building, and extends the MRT Blue Line to Taichung Port to introduce commercial functions.
