Pegatron's revenue in August was 88.3 billion yuan, a monthly increase of 2.6%, optimistic about the shipment of new mobile phones and AI servers in Q4

Pegatron is optimistic that customers' new mobile phone products will be significantly invested in the fourth quarter, and AI server shipments in the second half of the year will definitely be better than the first half.

Pegatron (4938)'s revenue in August was 88.305 billion yuan, a monthly increase of 2.66% and an annual increase of 34.11%, the third highest in a single month this year. In the first eight months of this year, the cumulative revenue was 692.873 billion yuan, an annual increase of 1.49%, maintaining a positive growth track; management said that in view of the release of new mobile phones for customers, related products are expected to significantly increase in the fourth quarter, and AI server shipments in the second half of the year are definitely better than the first half.

Pegatron shipped 400,000 to 450,000 laptops in August, a monthly increase of about 6.25% and a year-on-year decrease of about 48.5%. Management said that although the laptop business was affected by rising CPU and memory prices and material shortages, there was high uncertainty in the momentum of downstream orders. However, as customers continue to build AI infrastructure, NVIDIA's GB series, B200, B300 and other server products are shipped successively, which is expected to drive overall operational growth.

Pegatron believes that it is very confident that it can achieve the goal of increasing server revenue by 10 times this year, and even strive for better performance. Due to the high unit price of server products, it will easily become the top three business units of Pegatron in the next one to two years. The group is preparing in advance for the expected business in the third and fourth quarter of this year, and has also begun to grasp the status of orders for the first half of next year.

Pegatron reiterated that in response to the expansion of its AI server business, capital expenditures for this year were originally estimated at US$300 million to US$350 million (approximately NT$9.456 billion to NT$11.032 billion), which is expected to be further revised. In principle, new investments will be focused on expansion in Taiwan and North America, while Southeast Asia will make flexible adjustments based on business needs.
