Air crew helicopter rescued man from Jinzhen Mountain and arrived at the scene in 8 minutes

An emergency mountain disaster rescue mission was reported this morning in Jinzhen Mountain District, Taimali, Taitung County. A 50-year-old man suddenly became seriously ill in a mountainous area. Due to the complex terrain and inconvenient transportation in the mountainous area, he immediately sought help and requested a helicopter to assist in an air evacuation.

After receiving the notification, the Air Service Corps of the Ministry of Interior immediately assigned the third team of the third service brigade at Taitung Fengnian Airport to dispatch the rescue. The air crew received instructions from the command center at 6:40 in the morning and quickly dispatched a UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter numbered NA-707 to take off to the scene. The helicopter took off smoothly at 7:08 and arrived at the target airspace of Jinzhen Mountain in just 8 minutes.

After arriving at the scene, the crew first conducted high and low-altitude observations, and at the same time obtained communication links with the ground search and rescue team to accurately locate the target location. Subsequently, the search and rescue personnel quickly started hoisting operations and successfully hoisted the unwell people onto the plane together with a ground search and rescue personnel. The helicopter left the target area and returned home at 7:53, and successfully landed at Fengnian Airport at 8:40. The patient was handed over to medical staff for evacuation for treatment, successfully completing this efficient and safe mountainous air rescue mission.
