On July 19, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia announced the detention of a citizen of the republic, Georgy Chigladze, on charges of intentionally causing minor harm to the health of a foreigner. According to the department, the incident occurred in one of the Telavi hotels during a wedding celebration. According to investigators, there was a conflict between the wedding participants and foreign tourists, after which the man entered the hotel room and attacked one of the women. An eyewitness to the incident, Vladislav Borodina, told RIA Novosti that after a conflict at a wedding in a hotel, a man burst into the tourists’ room, started pushing them and hit one of them. The victim, Yulia Nesteryuk, was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with a broken nose.
