The two-day BRICS summit discusses strengthening economic and financial cooperation among member states, developing payment mechanisms in national currencies, expanding the New Development Bank, and reforming the global governance system, in addition to current international and regional issues, most notably the tensions in the Middle East and the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
