Bharatiya Janata Party announces new national team, Nitin Nabin takes command

National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Nitin Nabin has announced all the office bearers of the party on Monday.

This announcement includes the names of new national vice presidents, general secretaries, joint secretaries, treasurers and presidents of different morchas.

BJP has announced the names of 13 vice presidents. These include names like Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav and Professor Tariq Mansoor.

At the same time, eight names have been announced for National General Secretary and 16 names for National Secretary.

Among the seven different Morcha presidents, the most talked about are Kunwar Basit Ali and Hemang Joshi. Kunwar Basit Ali has been made the president of Minority Morcha and Hemang Joshi has been made the president of Yuva Morcha.

Deepak Mhaske has been made the new social media in-charge whereas till now this post was held by popular leader Amit Malviya.

Who is Deepak Mhaske?

Alok Putul, associate journalist of BBC in Raipur, says that 58-year-old Deepak Mhaske, who started his career as a chemistry teacher, has been the spokesperson of BJP in Chhattisgarh.

Apart from this, he has been serving as a non-official, independent director on the Board of Engineers India Limited under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

He was appointed to the post of Chairman of Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited last year and has the status of Minister of State.

Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited is an organization involved in the purchase and supply of medicines, surgical materials and medical equipment for the government hospitals of the state.

Although many cases of irregularities in the purchase and supply of medicines, surgical materials and medical equipment have come to light during his tenure, but in most of these cases action has been taken only on the instructions of Deepak Mhaske.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai wrote on social media, "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Deepak Mhaske ji, President of Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited, on being appointed as the social media coordinator of BJP."

"Your organizational ability, activism and effective use of technology will give new energy to the great campaign of taking BJP's ideas and public welfare works to the masses."

"We are confident that under your leadership the organization's digital communication will become more effective and powerful."

What did Amit Malviya say?

Amit Malviya has congratulated the new officials by posting on X. Also gave best wishes to the social media team for the future.

He wrote, "Congratulations to all the newly appointed office-bearers of BJP. Their appointment has come at such an important juncture when the party is preparing to touch new heights and take its message and organization to every corner of the country."

"I especially want to congratulate Deepak Mhaske ji, who will take over as the head of BJP's social media department in my place, and co-convenors Preeti Gandhi ji, Shivanand Dwivedi ji, Alok Bhatt ji and Arun Yadav ji."

Two Muslim faces included

BJP President Nitin Nabin's team also includes two Muslim faces and both of them belong to Uttar Pradesh.

The first face is of Professor Tariq Mansoor as Vice President while the second face is of Minority Morcha President Kunwar Basit Ali.

However, in the year 2023 itself, Professor Tariq Mansoor was given the post of National Vice President. He is a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and has been the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University.

He is the fourth Muslim member sent by the party to the Legislative Council since 2017 after Bukkal Nawab, Mohsin Raza and Danish Azad Ansari.

During his tenure as Vice Chancellor, there were protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Aligarh Muslim University.

Then for the first time the police came inside the campus. He was criticized for not standing up for the students.

New President of Minority Front

BJP has also announced the names of presidents for seven different fronts.

In this, the name of Hemang Joshi has been announced for Yuva Morcha. Till now this post was held by BJP MP from Bengaluru South, Tejasvi Surya.

The responsibility of Minority Front has been given to Kunwar Basit Ali. Till now Jamal Siddiqui was on this post.

Kunwar Basit Ali, who hails from Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, has been the president of BJP Minority Morcha in the state.

Total 12 women in BJP's national team

BJP has given the responsibility of National Treasurer to Piyush Goyal, before this Rajesh Aggarwal was on this post. The responsibility of the National General Secretary of the organization rests with BL Santosh.

The names of K Surendran and Anil Antony from Kerala are among the 16 national secretaries.

The names of Tarun Chugh have been fixed for the post of Central Office Incharge, Mahendra Pandey for the post of Central Office Secretary, Sambit Patra for the post of North East Coordinator and Anil Baluni for the post of Media Coordinator.

BJP has also included many new women faces among the office bearers. There are a total of 12 women among the national office bearers of BJP.

If we talk about 13 names of National Vice President, six of them are women. These include Vasundhara Raje Scindia from Rajasthan, D Purandeshwari from Andhra Pradesh, Rekha Verma from Uttar Pradesh, Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi from Gujarat, Bharti Praveen Pawar from Maharashtra and Madhuchandra Kar from West Bengal.
