Kim Min-seok, leader of the Democratic Party, emphasizes 'mega growth' and the end of 'political prosecution'

Kim Min-seok, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 13th, "I will humbly and sincerely do my best to achieve a turnaround in public trust by consistently realizing the party's policy of promoting people's livelihood, practicality, and expansion."

Representative Kim said this at a high-level party and government conference held at the Prime Minister's Seoul official residence in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, saying, "At a time of transition in national administration, approval rating adjustments and cabinet reshuffles are taking place."

Representative Kim said, "Recovery and growth, which were the tasks of the first year of his term, showed results in growth rate, exports, and stock market thanks to the president's leadership and the cooperation of the people." He added, "Now, along with promoting mega growth, we must focus our efforts on eliminating the shadow of growth and promoting a dignified basic society."

He continued, "In short, it is a parallel promotion of growth and coexistence," and emphasized, "The party will fully support the government's mega growth while also accelerating policies and legislation for community coexistence."

At the same time, he said, "The 'Mega 10' special organization launched by the party will be expanded to 'Mega 12', and the 'AI Era Gap Resolving Gap, Dignity Society and People's Livelihood Promotion Team' will be launched. The party leader will serve as the chairman, and former National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik will serve as a standing advisor."

Regarding the launch of the Public Prosecution Office, which is less than a month away, Representative Kim said, "I will thoroughly take care of the launch of the Public Prosecution Office and police reform and seek all necessary alternatives so that there is no real setback in prosecution reform and no gap in public order."

He also added, "We will promote discussions within the party on full-scale reforms to eradicate abnormalities in various fields of politics, economy, and society that are impeding the normalization of the Republic of Korea. We will soon organize them and report them to the people through discussions between the party and government."

Regarding the issue of Minister Yong Hye-in, who resigned from her position as a candidate for the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family this morning, Representative Kim said, "We will accelerate solidarity with progressive forces such as the Basic Income Party and discussions on political reform, and faithfully conduct personnel hearings."

Regarding the situation in which independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon continues to expose Justice Minister candidate Kim Seung-won's "suspicion of soliciting approval for clinical trials of new drugs," he said, "We will thoroughly dig into the illegal leak case that is known as 'Han Dong-hoon Gate' and put an end to 'political prosecution.'"

As the party raised suspicions that investigation materials related to Candidate Kim were leaked to a member of the National Assembly, it is interpreted as a determination to clearly determine the truth.
