The program "Super Youthful Choir" brought together 25 young people from different fields such as singing, acting, variety shows, and creation to form an all-star pop performance choir. Over a period of more than 6 months, they repeatedly learned, rehearsed, and completed various challenging tasks, and finally qualified to participate in the World Professional Chorus Competition. Since the show aired, it has received billions of social media impressions.
The World Choir Games are hosted by the INTERKULTUR International Cultural Exchange Foundation and enjoy the reputation of the "Olympics of the Choral World". The competition is divided into two parts: the Open Competition and the Championship Competition. The admission standards for the Championship Competition are strict, and you must have rich experience in international competitions or corresponding certificates to participate. The awards are highly valuable and professionally recognized. The C16 pop group category has gathered the world's top choirs, and the competition is particularly fierce. This time the Youth League selected 12 members: Duan Aojuan, Gao Ruixuan, Kang Ziqi, Ma Xiaoyu, Ouyang Didi, Wang Xiaoyunzi, Xie Keyin, Xu Xinwen, Xu Yiyang, Yu Yuhan, Zhong Chenle, and Zhang Yuzi went to Sweden. After arriving in Helsingborg, they first started a musical encounter with local people with a train station road show, and then entered a local music master class to receive training. For the young choir who came out of the variety show, this in itself is a tough battle.
Before the game, the organizer of this international competition also gave a special recognition to the Ranqing League - Gunter Tiech, chairman of the International Cultural Exchange Foundation, and Wang Qin, the first vice president, made a special trip to visit the Ranqing League, which was preparing for the competition, and presented them with the "Special Contribution Award for the Promotion of Youth Chorus Culture". Chairman Ti Chi and Vice Chairman Wang Qin had a cordial exchange with the members at the rehearsal site, encouraging them to stand on the world stage in their best condition, and said: "You have used your singing to connect the younger generation with the choral art. This is the best practice of 'letting people around the world sing together'."
During the competition, the Ranqing Troupe performed three works with different styles and rich layers: the a cappella version of "We Young" showed the ultimate harmony skills; "Love Is Simple" was arranged with delicate and gentle harmony to convey the pure and sincere emotional core; "Nanjing Love Announcement", which combines pop music style and rap elements, has a lively and contagious stage performance. The solid singing skills and ability to control multiple genres won high recognition from international judges and won the C16 pop group championship in one fell swoop. They became the first Chinese team to win the championship in the history of this group and pioneered a domestic variety show choir to compete in international professional chorus competitions. On the stage, the youthful harmonies conquered the world's judges; off the stage, the train station road show and master class allowed Chinese and foreign music concepts to truly collide. Variety show creation, stage performances and transnational cultural exchanges are truly integrated in this trip.
