Taiwanese director Xu Kunhua and the main creator appeared at the press conference. The film focuses on issues such as parent-child relationship and education.

"Admission" is the first feature film directed by Taiwanese director Xu Kunhua, who is a screenwriter. The film compresses the scene into one afternoon and a hotel room, telling the story of parents who invest heavily in their children's education, and then intervene in and even control their lives.

"Parents' obsession with their children's education has lasted for several generations in East Asia, and now it has spread to all parts of the world with globalization." Xu Kunhua wanted to explore, "What drives people to be so persistent? This is the core mystery that this film attempts to explore."

The film does not specify the specific city or region where the story takes place. Xu Kunhua explained, "Wherever there are people, there will be these troubles. Xu Kunhua was born in Taipei and studied at the Department of Drama at National Taiwan University. He has participated in many film productions as a planning and director assistant. Xu Kunhua's first screenwriting work "The Unspeakable Summer" was shortlisted for the New Wave Unit of the 19th Busan International Film Festival, and "Admission" has been shortlisted for the New Director Competition of the 29th Tallinn Dark Night Film Festival.
