Bollywood star Salman Khan has slammed those doing online trolling.
In 'reality show' Bigg Boss, Salman Khan said that the trend of trolling is increasing in the society. People are being trolled on their age, health, looks, family and even becoming a mother.
Salman Khan did not take anyone's name but his comment came after the recent incident of trolling of Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif.
After attending an event with husband Vicky Kaushal, some pictures and videos of Katrina Kaif went viral on social media.
Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal welcomed a son in November last year.
About nine months later, Katrina was seen in a public event for the first time and she was targeted on social media after seeing the change in her look after becoming a mother.
Commenting on Katrina's pictures, many users raised questions about her weight gain.
Some people even made her a victim of body shaming. Many people criticized the trollers and explained how pregnancy and delivery affect a woman's body.
Salman Khan criticized trolling in the reality show Bigg Boss and said that people comment on his age in every show. People say that Salman Khan has become old.
He said, “In every show people comment on age. He (Salman Khan) has become old. What are you trolling about? On her weight, on her looks. On her family. Trolling is done when someone's smile flops. Trolling happens when someone becomes a mother. By doing this you show how you have been brought up. I was trolled. People say that he has become old. It's been sixty years, man. Troll as much as you want."
After this, he took off his T-shirt during the show itself and showed his body and said, "People say that brother (Salman) has become fat." People are trolling my brother. These people who comment should first look at their own appearance. Look at your body. After that do trolling. Look at your parents. First check their health. After that do trolling.
He said, "It is understandable that someone says that brother's weight has increased or decreased. But people make fun of him." Sohail (Salman's brother), Varun are trolled. There are people who troll in every industry. I also wear torn shoes. Next time I will wear that also. Then keep trolling. These people troll everyone, politicians and actors. If his work is not good then say that you are not a good leader or actor.
Recently, actress Katrina Kaif had attended an event with husband Vicky Kaushal. After this, many users trolled him on social media.
Many social media users, journalists and entertainment analysts termed such comments as 'body shaming'. He says that it is never appropriate to make fun or criticize someone's body, appearance or physical structure.

Actress and BJP leader Khushboo Sundar wrote on X, "Katrina, you have always lived your life in your own way, with dignity, decency and self-respect. Keep doing the same in future also."
She wrote, "You don't need to give any explanation to anyone about your body. You don't need to give any explanation to anyone about becoming a mother. You don't need to give any explanation to anyone about your weight gain. And you don't need to give any explanation to anyone about how you look now either."
Khushboo wrote, "It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And it is not your responsibility to answer to anyone about how beautiful you want to look."
Entertainment analyst Faridun Shahryar wrote that Katrina Kaif looks very beautiful and attractive in the pictures.
He appealed to the critics not to try to spoil the happy and private moments of people's lives with their negative and poisonous comments.
He said, "This is the reason why many actors resort to unnatural methods to lose weight and many people have even lost their lives due to this."
Faridun Shahryar further said, "Katrina Kaif has achieved a lot in her life. This time of her life is very important right now and her child is very precious to her."
Many users said that the constant focus on women's looks on social media is affecting the self-esteem of not only celebrities but also common women.
In her view, greater awareness, empathy and responsible discussion about the natural changes that occur in the body are needed today more than ever.
