The share of expenses of Russian families on tutors and educational materials per child at the end of 2025 is on average 10.4% of income, in some regions a quarter of the family budget is spent on these purposes, follows from the analytical report of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), which is available to RIA Novosti.
ASI conducted a large-scale study among the regions and prepared an analytical report on changes in healthcare, education, infrastructure and the urban environment. It is based on the results of the National Quality of Life Rating, which the agency compiles annually on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As follows from the report, the share of expenses for tutors and the purchase of educational materials for school per child in the average monthly family income in the country is 10.4%. At the same time, the gap between regions ranges from 3.8 to 25.3%. According to the agency, parents spend the least in the Arkhangelsk region, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and North Ossetia - on average 4.4% of family income.
Over the period 2021–2025, the value of the indicator decreased by 1.5 percentage points (from 11.9 to 10.4%). At the same time, the interregional gap decreased by 7.9 points (from 29.4 to 21.5 percentage points). The source of data for the study of this indicator was surveys.
