World Data Organization Data Open Source Community Professional Committee was established in Hangzhou

China News Service, Hangzhou, September 24 (Reporter Wang Yifei) At the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo "Data Element Governance and Marketization Exchange Event" held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on the 24th, the World Data Organization (WDO) Data Open Source Community Professional Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Special Committee) was inaugurated.

The World Data Organization was established on March 30 this year and is the world's first professional international organization dedicated to data governance. As an important branch of the World Data Organization, the Special Committee will be located in Qianjiang Century City, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou. It will focus on global data open source collaboration, trusted data circulation and artificial intelligence (AI) ecological construction, and inject new momentum into the market-oriented allocation of data elements and the development of the digital economy in Zhejiang.

It is reported that the special committee will strictly implement the World Data Organization's purpose of "bridging the data gap, releasing data value, and prospering the digital economy", focusing on the three core directions of open source data sets, authoritative evaluation systems, and expert networks, and is committed to creating an open, shared, and collaborative international open source data ecosystem that is suitable for the new era of AI.

At present, the special committee has gathered the first batch of more than 100 member units, and its business and scientific research territory covers more than 20 countries and regions around the world. It integrates resources from the world's leading data companies, top universities and core scientific research institutions to form a multi-level, wide-coverage, high-level international collaboration matrix.

In the future, the special committee will launch a global open source data collaboration platform, regularly release high-quality open source data sets and authoritative model evaluation benchmarks, and create benchmarking events such as the Global Data Open Source Challenge and annual international summits.

The landing of this special committee in Xiaoshan is not only a key measure for the local area to improve the AI ​​open source ecological infrastructure, standardize the management of data elements, and promote efficient data compliance and circulation, but also an important manifestation of Xiaoshan's seizing new trends in the AI ​​industry and accelerating the cultivation of new productivity.

Xiaoshan, as a national data industry cluster pilot area, has gathered three major AI industry communities and data-building communities: Core Model, Core Innovation, and Core Machine. The first batch of high-end data annotation base pilots in Zhejiang Province have been settled in this area. After the implementation of the special committee, Xiaoshan Qianjiang Century City will form a "core-analog-digital-application" full-chain AI industry ecology, becoming the core carrier of regional AI industry upgrades and a new window for opening up to the outside world.
