The 2026 "Artificial Intelligence + E-Sports Innovation Application Competition" concluded in Nanning

China News Service, Nanning, September 24 (Reporter Huang Yanmei) The finals of the 2026 "Artificial Intelligence + E-sports Innovation Application Competition" recently concluded in Nanning, Guangxi. Guangxi actively explores the innovative power of AI digital sports and promotes the implementation and transformation of high-quality projects.

This event is one of the key tracks of the AI ​​Empowering Thousand Industries Super League (A Super League). A total of 127 teams have signed up, and 64 teams have advanced to the offline finals and competed in the start-up group and the growth group. For the first time, the competition has set up a sub-field of Macau University of Science and Technology, attracting universities from Hong Kong and Macao and ASEAN companies to participate, establishing an international competition format in which Guangxi, Hong Kong and Macao coordinate and link up with ASEAN.

This competition leverages the China-ASEAN Expo platform to bring together various scientific and technological forces to explore the various possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI) in empowering the e-sports industry. It guides participating teams to closely follow the actual industry, deeply explore digital sports applications for ASEAN, select innovative and high-quality projects that can be implemented, and promote the transformation of the event from competitive competition to industrial application.

The finals will be evaluated based on five dimensions: innovation, technology, application value, team capabilities, and project integrity. In addition to industry experts, 30 university teachers and students formed a public jury to participate in the public award evaluation. Each participating team completed a 7-minute project demonstration and a 3-minute defense, focusing on the innovative achievements of AI in the fields of intelligent event operation, digital content creation, virtual interaction, and localized cultural and creative production.

After competition, this competition awarded the Innovation Award, Technology Award, Potential Award and Public Award, and 46 teams won the award.

It is reported that the event will compile a list of outstanding projects in the future, continue to track the progress of project incubation, accumulate the results of the event, and continue to create a comprehensive service platform integrating talent gathering, technology display, industry docking, and international exchanges, injecting scientific and technological innovation momentum into Guangxi's construction of an artificial intelligence innovation cooperation highland for ASEAN.
