Taipei City Councilor Jian Shupei pointed out that many teachers and students at Jinhua Junior High School suffered from diarrhea, vomiting and other symptoms after eating a nutritious lunch containing "small rolls" on September 4. After receiving the notification, the Education Bureau responded that "it will be handled passively by the school." It also said that "there are many special circumstances this time and will not be dealt with for the time being." The Meal Box Food Merchants Association of the Republic of China also issued a statement stating that some details of the current situation still need to be clarified, but the operators are working hard to provide meals every day, with food safety as the first priority. If parents have concerns, they can report it to the school, and the relevant committee will investigate and deal with it.

Chen Mingxin, chairman of the National Federation of Meal Box Food Merchants Association of the Republic of China, said that the association immediately learned from the school that some details of the current situation still need to be further clarified, and the results of follow-up verification should prevail.

He emphasized that group catering operators are cautious in providing meals every day, with food safety as their first priority. If parents have any concerns about school lunches, please report them to the school immediately, and the school will identify and handle them in accordance with the lunch contract and lunch supply committee mechanism. If a suspected food safety incident occurs, the association also supports the school in notifying relevant units to investigate, clarify the reasons, and protect the health of students.
