US and coalition forces leave Erbil air base

The armed forces of the United States and its coalition partners left the air base in Erbil.

The withdrawal of forces from Erbil Air Base marks the successful completion of the Inherent Resolve military mission in Iraq.

WASHINGTON, September 30 - RIA Novosti. US forces and their coalition partners have left the Erbil air base as part of the end of the "Inherent Resolve" military mission in Iraq, the Pentagon said.

"The orderly withdrawal of coalition forces and equipment from Erbil Air Base marks the successful conclusion of the military mission that led to the defeat of ISIS in Iraq," Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement.
