With the arrival of Wanli crab production season, Yeliu Holiday Live Crab Market will open tomorrow (25th)! The New Taipei City Fisheries and Fishing Port Management Office stated that the market focuses on buying and steaming now. On the opening day and October 24th, a limited number of 100 live crab lucky bags of "399 yuan for 2 pounds" are specially offered. Free rides on entertainment fishing boats to experience "crab fishing" and guided "fishing village slow tours" are also offered on site. The market calls on the public to take advantage of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday to visit Yehliu Fishing Port, taste the rich seafood and deeply experience the fishing village culture.

The Fisheries Department pointed out that in conjunction with the peak season of Wanli crabs, from September 25 to the end of November, the Yeliu Holiday Live Crab Market will be held every weekend and national holiday. There are crabs every week, even on holidays, so that people who come to the production area every week can enjoy the freshest and sweetest Wanli crabs in the season. In order to thank everyone for supporting Wanli Crab, the organizer will hold a Wanli Crab lucky bag sale at the live crab market on the opening day tomorrow and at 9:00 a.m. on October 24th (2 days in total). A 2-pound live crab lucky bag is priced at 399 yuan (original price: 800 yuan), with a limit of 100 copies each on both days (number plates will be issued 10 minutes before the sale starts, and you can purchase one with the number plate after the sale starts, one per person). The Fisheries Department stated that in order to let the public better understand the local fishery industry and human history of Yehliu, the Wanli District Fisheries Association plans to launch a recreational fishing boat experience "crab fishing" on September 25 and October 24. There are two classes at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., each class is limited to 4 0 people, please bring your ID card, health insurance card or driver's license and other photo IDs for customs declaration inspection; and the "Fishing Village Slow Tour", which is led by a senior guide to provide an in-depth tour of the history and culture of the fishing village. There are two sessions at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with a limit of 20 people per session.

In addition, on the day of the event, people can register for free at the square in front of Baoan Palace in Yehliu. On-site registration will begin at 10 a.m., and while seats are full, the event will provide an in-depth understanding of the local crab fishing process and fishing village culture through a series of activities. The activities will be adjusted depending on the weather conditions on the day.

The Fisheries Department said that people going to the Yehliu Holiday Live Crab Market can take the 1815 Guoguang Passenger Bus and the 862, 1068 Keelung and Tamsui Passenger Transport Joint Operation and get off at Yeliu Station and walk for about 7 minutes; take the 953 and get off at Gangdong Station and walk for 3 minutes; or take the Danshui Passenger 716 Crown North Coastline and get off at the Yehliu Geopark Station and walk for about 5 minutes. People who drive there by themselves can park their cars in the Yehliu Geopark parking lot and the Ocean World parking lot.
