Hainan issues red warning for geological disasters and meteorological risks

It is expected that the risk of rainfall-induced geological disasters in Tongshi Town, Changhao Township, Shuiman Township, Nansheng Town, Baoting Xiangshui Town, Maogan Township, Shiling Town, and Xinzheng Town in Wuzhishan City in the next 24 hours (from 12:00 on September 14, 2026 to 12:00 on September 15, 2026) is very high, and it is a Level I risk warning (red warning).

Fanyang Town, Maodao Township, and Maoyang Town in Wuzhishan City, Huishan Town in Qionghai City, Nanqiao Town, Beida Town, Sangengluo Town, Changfeng Town, and Liji Town in Wanning City, Benhao Town in Lingshui City, Nanlin Township, Liugong Township, Baoting City, Jiamao Town, Sandao Town, Baocheng Town, Qiongzhong Yinggen Town, Zhongping Town, Heping Town, Shang'an Township, Changzheng Town, and Diaoluoshan Township have a high risk of rainfall-induced geological disasters and are Level II risk warnings (orange warnings).

Shangen Town, Damao Town, Hou'an Town, Longgun Town, Dong'ao Town in Wanning City, Qunying Township and Guangpo Town in Lingshui City, Limushan Town, Shiyun Township, Wanling Town and Hongmao Town in Qiongzhong City have a high risk of rainfall-induced geological disasters and are Level III risk warnings (yellow warnings). Jiyang District, Yazhou District, Tianya District and Yucai Ecological Zone of Sanya City, Boao Town, Yangjiang Town and Shibi Town of Qionghai City, Donghe Town of Dongfang City, Hanlin Town of Ding'an County, Wupo Town and Fengmu Town of Tunchang County, There is a certain risk of rainfall-induced geological disasters in Nankun Town, Nanlu Town, Baisha Nankai Township, Changjiang Wangxiaxiang, Ledong Wanchong Town, Jianfeng Town, and Zhizhong Town, and they are Level IV risk warnings (blue warnings).

Persons in the red warning area who are facing slopes, cliffs, ditches or water should immediately evacuate to nearby shelters according to the arrangements of the local disaster prevention department. Personnel entering geological disaster risk areas should be strictly controlled. Persons at high-risk hidden danger points and threatened areas in the orange warning area should evacuate immediately to nearby refuge settlements according to the instructions of the local disaster prevention department. People facing slopes, cliffs, ditches and water should evacuate to nearby refuge settlements in time according to evacuation signals. People in the yellow and blue warning areas should pay attention to changes in warning information at any time, pay attention to nearby warning signs, and avoid staying in high-risk areas such as ravines, slopes, and cliffs.

The above-mentioned city, county, township and town governments and the departments of capital regulation, water affairs, transportation, culture and tourism, and housing construction are requested to conduct monitoring and inspections of geological disaster hazards in early warning areas, conduct timely research and judgment of early warnings, handle and report disaster hazards in a timely manner, and conduct three emergency evacuations when necessary to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.
