In Berlin, on Sunday, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his German counterpart, Johann Wadiwohl, discussed the current situation in the region, and stressed the importance of the security and safety of international waterways and ensuring freedom of maritime navigation in them, and the necessity of returning the Strait of Hormuz to its natural state, in a way that enhances the security and stability of the region and maintains the flow of international trade movement.
During the meeting, the two ministers stressed their support for efforts aimed at finding peaceful and diplomatic solutions to regional and international crises, at a time when they reviewed the bilateral and historical relations between Saudi Arabia and Germany, and ways to develop and strengthen them in various fields.
The meeting culminated in Faisal bin Farhan and Vadiphol signing a memorandum of understanding between the governments of the two countries to establish a strategic dialogue at the level of foreign ministers, aimed at enhancing consultation and coordination and developing bilateral relations in various fields.
The two sides also discussed economic and trade relations, the volume of trade exchange, and ways to raise its level in a way that reflects the depth of relations between the two countries and opens more opportunities for developing cooperation and investment in various sectors.
Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday the current developments on the regional and international arenas, and both sides stressed the importance of continuing and intensifying diplomatic efforts and endeavors in a way that contributes to consolidating the foundations of security and peace in the region and the world.
In a phone call, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and President Macron also exchanged views on the most prominent issues of common interest, and reviewed the existing bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to build on the growing cooperation and partnership they are witnessing. In a way that serves mutual interests and achieves the aspirations of the peoples of both countries.

The court ruled to overturn the ruling of the Court of Appeal suspending the implementation of the sentence against former MP Muhannad Talal Al-Sayer, and ruled again to imprison him for 3 years on the charges against him, related to challenging the rights of the Emir of the country, interfering in his powers, and broadcasting malicious news. And harmful to the interests and internal conditions of the country.
It also ruled to overturn the appeal ruling halting the implementation of the sentence against former MP Saleh Muhammad Al-Mulla, and to again imprison him for two years on the charge of challenging the powers and rights of the Emir.
It also ruled to cancel the acquittal of former MP Musallam Al-Barrak, and to reconvict him of being a returnee and to imprison him for 3 years on charges of spreading malicious news harmful to the country’s interests.
The court also annulled Salem Al-Namlan’s acquittal, and again ruled to convict him and imprison him for 3 years for being a returnee, on charges of broadcasting inflammatory news harmful to the country’s internal situation.
The Court of Cassation ruled that former MP Badr Al-Dahoum be imprisoned for one year with labor on charges of insulting the judges of the Constitutional Court.
The court annulled the acquittals issued against 15 defendants, and again ruled to convict them by abstaining from pronouncing their punishment for the charge of broadcasting inflammatory news harmful to the country’s interests.
