The first center for combined prosthetic and rehabilitation care united eight areas of rehabilitation for SVO participants.

The center was created by the FMBA together with the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation and the Paralympic Committee in the village of Goluboye, Moscow Region.

The center provides medical and psychological care, physical and social rehabilitation, vocational training and other types of assistance.

MOSCOW, September 23 - RIA Novosti. The first center for combined prosthetic and rehabilitation care united eight areas of rehabilitation for SVO participants, including medical and psychological care, physical and social rehabilitation, and vocational training, said Veronika Skvortsova, head of the FMBA.

According to Skvortsova, more than 70 agency centers provide rehabilitation treatment. At the end of 2024, FMBA, together with the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation and the Paralympic Committee, for the first time in the Russian Federation, created a center for combined prosthetic and rehabilitation care in the village of Goluboye, Moscow Region.

“This center, for the first time, has united and integrated eight areas of rehabilitation. Not only medical, but also psychological assistance, as well as three types of social rehabilitation: household, environmental, sociocultural,” Skvortsova said, answering a question from RIA Novosti about what technologies for the treatment and recovery of SVO participants are introduced into the agency’s work.

She clarified that the areas also include vocational training and retraining, physical rehabilitation with adaptive physical education and adaptive sports, and other types of assistance.

According to Skvortsova, prosthetics are also built into this rehabilitation complex. While an individual prosthesis is being made for the patient, from the first day specialists are already fully working with it.
