Yunlin County Councilor Lai Shunuo of the Kuomintang left the party to run for mayor of Douliu. The campaign headquarters was established today (12th). County Magistrate Zhang Lishan, Legislator Ding Xuezhong and many parliamentarians, citizen representatives and supporters came to support. Lai's husband, Xu Shubo, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also called on dozens of entrepreneurs to come to the scene to support him, showing his ambition to attract investment.

Since the Kuomintang nominated Huang Youmei in the Douliu mayoral election, in response to Lai Shunuo's defection from the party to run for election and the platform of county magistrate Zhang Lishan and other party members, Jian Mingqin, chairman of the Yunlin County Party Committee of the Kuomintang, said that a disciplinary committee will be convened next week to discuss how to deal with it.

Lai Shunuo's campaign was held at her and Xu Shubo's office. Nearly 700 supporters were present. Xu Shubo put the Douliu mayoral candidate ribbon on his wife, and the sound of freezing garlic was heard constantly. Zhang Lishan came to the stage to first wish Lai Shunuo a victory and be elected with a high vote. Then she gave a speech to thank Lai Shunuo for her full support of the county government's budget during her eight-year term as county magistrate and her concern for Yunlin's education, construction and disadvantaged people.

Zhang Lishan said that everyone has their own ideals and ambitions, and she respects them all, so she is here to congratulate, congratulate and express her gratitude today. She also reiterated that the Yunlin County Government is not moving to Huwei, and that two new county government buildings will be built in the future. She hopes that the mayor of Douliu will work with the county government to promote local prosperity and development in the future.

Lai Shunuo pointed out that every handshake, every word of encouragement and every trust along the way has been her strength to keep moving forward. She sincerely requested the support of the villagers to give her the opportunity to build Douliu into a garden city, a charity-friendly city, a livable city where young people can see opportunities, elders are taken care of, and children can grow up safely.
