According to the latest evaluations made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the northern and eastern parts of our country will be partly cloudy and sometimes very cloudy, the Van surroundings will have showers and thunderstorms, and other places will be slightly cloudy and clear.
It is estimated that there will be no significant change in air temperature and that it will remain above seasonal norms throughout our country. The wind is expected to blow generally from the north and from the south in the southern parts, occasionally in moderate strength.
STARTS ON SUNDAY
According to the 5-day weather forecast maps published by the General Directorate of Meteorology, a partly cloudy and slightly cloudy weather will prevail across the country on Saturday, while a new rainy system will enter the country starting from the western parts on Sunday. Thunderstorms, which will start in the west of Marmara and the Northern Aegean coast on Sunday, will expand their impact area across Marmara and the Western Black Sea on Monday.
The rainy weather, which will continue locally along the Black Sea coastline and in the west of the Mediterranean on Tuesday, is expected to increase its effect on Wednesday and affect a large part of the country, especially in the Marmara, Aegean, Central Anatolia, Mediterranean and Black Sea regions, in the form of strong thunderstorms. The rainy system will continue its effect on Thursday in the Eastern Black Sea, eastern Central Anatolia, Aegean coasts and the Eastern Mediterranean.
AKOM: TEMPERATURES WILL DROP PERCEIVEDLY
In the evaluations made by the Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM), attention was drawn to the cool air wave and wind coming from the north. It has been reported that the north-eastern wind will blow hard and intermittently at a speed of 10 to 40 kilometers per hour throughout the region, and with the effect of the cool air carried by the north-eastern wind, the thermometers, which are around 28-30 degrees during the day, will drop below 20 degrees at night and early in the morning, creating a noticeable coolness.
In the AKOM report, it was emphasized that the rainy weather in Istanbul and its surroundings, which will start with local rains on Sunday, will turn into thunderstorms, especially on Mondays and Wednesdays, and up to 15 kilograms of precipitation per square meter may fall on Monday. Authorities reminded that caution should be taken against the negative effects that may occur due to intermittent showers and strong winds that will continue until the middle of the week.
