The court sentenced a Muscovite to six years in prison for kidnapping a computer seller

A Moscow resident kidnapped and took out of town the seller of a non-working computer, threatening to burn him alive and throw him out in the forest.

The court sentenced the kidnapper to six years in a maximum security colony, and his adult acquaintance to five years for complicity in the kidnapping.

MOSCOW, September 5 - RIA Novosti. A Moscow resident kidnapped and took out of town the seller of a computer that turned out to be non-working; he threatened to burn the victim alive and throw him out in the forest, according to court documents available to RIA Novosti.

A court in Moscow sentenced a man to six years in a maximum security colony.

The incident occurred in February 2025, as follows from the materials. A man purchased a system unit for 12 thousand rubles through a popular Telegram channel, but the equipment did not work. When the buyer tried to return the item, the seller stopped answering calls. Then the man decided to act differently.

As stated in the documents, he attracted two acquaintances, one of whom was a minor. The latter, acting as a new buyer, made an appointment with the seller. He came with a computer, but instead of money, they threatened him into getting into a car and driving him out of town.

On the way, the buyer insulted the victim, mentioning his late mother, and stated that he would burn him along with the computers, slaughter him and throw him out in the forest, the materials say. Then he demanded to transfer 12 thousand rubles and announced that he was keeping both computers - both the one he had purchased earlier and the one he had brought to the meeting. The total amount of the stolen goods amounted to 36 thousand rubles, as specified in the documents. Taking the threats seriously, the victim transferred the money, after which he was dropped off, and the attackers fled.

The court qualified the actions of the defendant under the articles of kidnapping by a group of persons with the threat of violence for mercenary motives and robbery, sentencing him to six years in a maximum security colony. His adult acquaintance was found guilty of complicity in the kidnapping and received five years of the same regime. The verdict came into force.
