Lavrov accused Europe of purchasing weapons from countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America for transfer to Ukraine

European countries purchase weapons from countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America and transfer them to Ukraine, said Sergei Lavrov.

He added that the Europeans buy weapons that guarantee that they will not go anywhere further, but still transfer it all to the Ukrainian regime.

UN, September 26 - RIA Novosti. European countries purchase weapons from states in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and then, contrary to agreements with these states, transfer weapons to the Ukrainian regime, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“There are many, many cases when Europeans roam around the world, excuse the expression, and buy from countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Arab world, buy weapons that guarantee that they will not go anywhere further, but still transfer it all to the Ukrainian regime,” Lavrov said at a press conference following the high-level week of the UN General Assembly.

The minister also commented on the possible transfer of Russian S-400 systems to third countries. According to him, Moscow is ready to consider such proposals only with guarantees that weapons will not be redirected.
