Lavrov and Velasco Alvarez discussed interaction between Russia and Mexico in international formats

On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed with Mexican Foreign Minister Roberto Velasco Alvarez interaction in various international formats, including the world organization, the Group of Twenty (G20) and APEC, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

“An exchange of views took place on current international and regional issues with an emphasis on interaction in the UN, G20, APEC and other multilateral formats. Russia and Mexico’s commitment to the principles and norms of international law and the collective search for solutions to current global problems was confirmed,” the ministry said in a statement on its website.

It is noted that the parties paid special attention to efforts to continue the bilateral political dialogue, build up trade and economic cooperation, and expand cultural and humanitarian ties.
