气象监测显示，南海热带低压12日8时其中心位于海南省三亚市偏南方向约330公里的南海海面上(北纬15.3度、东经109.4度)，中心附近最大风力有6级(13米/秒)。

预计，该低压将以每小时5-10公里的速度向北偏西方向缓慢移动，强度变化不大，并将于13日下午至夜间在越南中部一带沿海登陆。

受其影响，北部湾海面、海南岛四周海面、西沙和中沙群岛附近海面，12日～14日，风力6～7级、阵风8～9级；南沙群岛附近海面，风力5～6级、阵风7级，雷雨时阵风8～9级；建议过往船只、海上平台做好避风措施。
