Two candidates for the State Duma from the Yabloko party were detained in Moscow

Two candidates for the State Duma from the Yabloko party were detained. The press service of the faction reported this on the Telegram channel.

According to the party, three men allegedly came to candidate Grigory Grishin’s home and asked to accompany them to the Academichesky police station.

“At the same time, the police detained Yabloko candidate in Preobrazhensky single-mandate constituency No. 204, Anna Shatunovskaya-Burno. She was taken to the Yakimanka police station,” the press service reports.

On September 1, it became known about the detention of Artem Snegovsky, a candidate for the State Duma from Yabloko in the Lublin single-mandate constituency No. 198 in Moscow. Then the party clarified that the detention was allegedly related to Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation”).

On August 10, the Supreme Court (SC) of Russia upheld the claim of the Rodina party to cancel the registration of the list of candidates from Yabloko for deputies of the State Duma. The Motherland then accused opponents of violating the rules of campaigning and copyright, as well as receiving money from abroad.
