In India, a father and brother dealt with a girl because of a viral video in which she was filmed with a friend. News9Live reports.

The video, starring 22-year-old Sophia Farooq from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, began circulating online in early summer. The content of the video is not disclosed, but it is known that it caused sharp disapproval in the girl’s family. Farouk's father and brother forbade him to communicate with the friend from the video and other young people. The girl refused to comply. After this, according to the police, her relatives began to develop a plan to kill her.

On August 12, her father and brother arrived on a motorcycle to pick up Farooq after her shift at the hospital where she worked as a receptionist. On the way home, they turned off the highway onto a country road where there was almost no traffic. After this, the girl’s brother took out a hammer and hit her on the head three times. Farouk lost consciousness. The men dragged her back to the highway and damaged her motorcycle to make it look like an accident.

The girl's brother called the police and said that a car crashed into them and fled. Farouk was taken to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save her. Police initially registered the incident as an accident and were looking for the unknown driver.

However, during the investigation it turned out that there were no signs of an accident on the highway. The car next to the motorcycle was also not seen on surveillance cameras. Brother Farouk began to get confused and eventually confessed to the crime. On September 9, the men were arrested. They face punishment up to capital punishment.
