Jiangxi Anfu Sunshine Farm grape planting base helps rural revitalization

China News Service, Ji'an, September 3 (Fu Liling, Xie Ming) In the early autumn afternoon, when I walked into the Sunshine Farm grape planting base in Henglong Town, Anfu County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, I saw bunches of Sunshine Rose grapes hanging between the vines, with a fragrant fruity fragrance. "These small grapes have become sweet fruits for the villagers to increase their income and become rich," said Liu Anfei, the person in charge of the farm.

Liu Anfei started planning to build the Sunshine Farm grape planting base in 2016. Due to lack of planting experience, the development of the base was once in trouble.

After learning about the situation, the United Front Work Department of the Anfu County Party Committee and the Henglong Town Government actively played the role of bridge and link, relying on the hometown friends liaison platform to contact Liu Xiao, an overseas talent in Anfu. Liu Xiao is an expert in grape planting. He was invited to the planting base to provide technical guidance. Through on-site teaching and practical training, he taught planting techniques step by step to help the base break through the development bottleneck.

"After several years of exploration, our planting technology has gradually matured." Liu Anfei said that the base covers an area of 50 acres, and a total of 9 varieties are planted, which mature from July to October. The annual output of grapes is about 80,000 kilograms, with an output value of up to 1 million yuan.

In order to allow more people to share the industrial dividends, the base gives priority to attracting surrounding villagers to work during the peak management and harvesting periods. So far, the base has created employment for more than 20 surrounding villagers, increasing the per capita annual income by more than 8,000 yuan, and boosting the collective income of the village by 50,000 yuan.

In recent years, based on the resource endowment of Henglong Town, the United Front Work Department of the Anfu County Party Committee has actively coordinated the United Front Work Force, introduced agricultural enterprises, and vigorously developed the planting of specialty fruits such as grapes, grapefruits, persimmons, and citrus, forming an agricultural, cultural and tourism development pattern of "appreciating flowers in spring, picking fruits in summer, tasting pomelos in autumn, and tasting fresh fruits in winter."

The person in charge of the United Front Work Department of the Anfu County Party Committee said, "In the next step, we will continue to leverage the advantages of the United Front, actively recruit and provide services to enterprises, broaden the path of industrial development, promote the further transformation of United Front resources into development momentum, and inject new vitality into rural revitalization."
