Tainan International Fashion Industry Exhibition Korean cheerleading goddess Nam Min-jeong’s themed catwalk

The Tainan International Fashion Industry Exhibition, sponsored by the City Council’s Economic Development Bureau, kicked off today. The four major themed catwalks at the opening showcased 13 sets of creative costumes made from recycled materials. Korean cheerleading goddess Nam Min-jung wore a stunning yellow dress that highlighted her fruity look. In line with the characteristics of abundant agricultural products, Japanese beauty pageant champion Nakahara Chienaga performed the "competitive glory" of baseball. Legislator Chen Tingfei was also invited to serve as a model. Her "temple brocade" look displayed the city's most noble and intimate cultural confidence, winning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

The event was held at the Tainan Convention and Exhibition Center. This year's theme was "Building Fashion, Weaving the Future." Starting from its profound cultural and industrial heritage, it connected local and international brands, as well as trade unions and colleges, and used sustainable materials skillfully. It included results presentations, themed catwalks, cross-border exchanges and other diverse contents. More than 40 manufacturers participated, including from Tokyo, Kumamoto, Tokushima and other places. Vice Mayor Zhao Qinghui presided over the opening, and Chen Tingfei was the mysterious guest.

Zhao Qinghui pointed out that Tainan is an important town for modern textiles. From production to sales, there are more than 450 related manufacturers. It is still one of the most important industrial clusters in the country. It has transformed through the introduction of high technology and cultural creativity, and built a brand to go global. With the characteristics of "more local, more fashionable, more global", it leads new trends and demonstrates its strong strength.

The four major theme catwalks are baseball, agricultural specialties, new and old, and religious temples, etc., each with its own style. Zhao Qinghui mentioned that through the combination of various fields, local characteristics, living memories and culture are connected in series, showing the urban character that has both historical heritage and continuous innovation and advancement.

Zhang Tingyuan, Director of Economic Development, said that each style is based on "superposition of time" and does not directly copy traditional symbols. Instead, it recombines urban memory, local industry and contemporary clothing structure, showing the multiplication effect of old cultural heritage and new stage language.

Zhang Tingyuan hopes that through the event, from traditional crafts and design creativity to the rich aspects of cross-border exchanges, it will not only be a catwalk, but also be connected to the global market. The on-site planning will be based on local brands and related institutions, sustainable concepts, industrial links and other aspects, so that visitors can see the diverse energy of Tainan's cross-border fashion industry at once.

Today's Taiwanese, Japanese and Korean celebrities jointly walked the show. In addition to Nam Min Jung, Nakahara Chienaga, and Chen Tingfei, there were also professional baseball players Zhang Zhengwei and Matsuno Takashi, Kimura Shota, Yoshize Yui, Ogata Saki, Amane, etc. The lineup was strong.
