National Women's Volleyball Team will face Serbia in the semi-finals of the CEV Trendyol 2026 European Championship tomorrow at 16.00. Making a statement to the press before the match, National Women's Volleyball Team Head Coach Daniele Santarelli said, "What happened 3 years ago does not matter now. We are already with very successful teams here, just like Serbia. We are currently focused on the upcoming process, focused on the championship. Of course, we hope to bring great success in front of our own audience. But we are focused on our work in this direction."

Stating that they were not very satisfied with the volleyball they played so far, but that they would focus on the semi-finals in the best possible way, the Italian coach said, "We could not play our best volleyball until this point. The reason for this was that it was a very long summer and the group we were in was a very challenging group. The reason why we did not make much progress in this process was that we could not make much player changes and we were busy. Likewise, we could not activate our very experienced players such as Eda Erdem until the last point and benefit from her experience. For this reason, "I wasn't completely satisfied with the volleyball we played so far. But of course, we are focusing on the process ahead of us now and we should focus on the semi-finals. Of course, we plan to move forward by working on our mistakes with the lessons and experience we received from the team in this process, but we are not without mistakes."
