After evaluation by Chen Baizhong, a urologist at Fengyuan Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, he adopted a "no-incision vasectomy" and he could resume normal activities the next day.

Chen Baozhong said that when men talk about vasectomy, their most common worry is "having to go under the knife in their private parts," including the size of the wound, pain, recovery time, and concerns about whether it will affect sexual function. Chen Pozhong pointed out that the so-called "no incision" does not mean that there are no wounds at all. It does not use a scalpel to make traditional incisions in the scrotal skin. Instead, special instruments are used to separate the vas deferens through a puncture hole of several millimeters in size, and then complete the blocking treatment. Because the skin opening is small and the surrounding tissue is less peeled off, in most cases, no skin suturing is even required. Compared with traditional incisional vasectomy, the risk of early complications such as bleeding, hematoma, wound infection and postoperative pain is lower.

Since previously produced sperm may still be temporarily present in the reproductive tract, other contraceptive methods should be continued for about 2 to 3 months after the operation.
